Handschutz für AR-15
(5 produkte)
Upgrade your AR-15 handguard for better control, cooler strings, and flexible mounting—tailored to carbine, mid-length, or rifle gas systems.
Why upgrade your AR-15 handguard
-
Control: slimmer profiles and grippy textures improve handling and recoil management.
-
Heat management: venting and heat shields keep hands cooler during long strings.
-
Mounting: M-LOK slots and top Picatinny sections for lights, handstops, switches, and sling points.
-
Fit & reach: choose lengths that cover a low-profile gas block, “tuck” a suppressor, or match your stance.
Types of AR-15 handguards
-
Free-float: clamps to the barrel nut, not the barrel—improves consistency and allows longer, slimmer rails.
-
Drop-in / two-piece: quick replacement on standard front-sight-base builds; minimal disassembly.
Length & interface tips
-
Length: ~7" (carbine FSB), ~9–10.5" (mid-length), ~12–15" (low-profile block, maximum reach).
-
Interface: M-LOK for accessories; keep a continuous or segmented top rail for optics/BUIS as needed.
Compatibility checklist
-
Barrel nut: many free-float rails include a proprietary nut—confirm torque and tools.
-
Gas system: ensure clearance for your gas block/tube (fixed vs. low-profile).
-
Top-rail height: match receiver height if bridging irons across the gap.
-
Suppressor/muzzle device: verify inner diameter if you plan to “tuck” a can or use large devices.
Materials & features
-
Aluminum: strong, light, excellent thermal performance.
-
Useful features: QD sling sockets, anti-rotation tabs, indexing flats, integrated handstops.
Install basics
- Unload. Remove the existing handguard; for free-float, remove the old barrel nut if required.
- Install/torque the correct barrel nut; align per manufacturer spec.
- Slide on and align the handguard with the receiver rail; apply threadlocker where specified and torque evenly.
- Function-check gas operation, accessory clearance, and confirm optic/iron alignment.
