American Precision Firearms produces the Ergal series — optics-ready competition pistols with factory slide cuts that accept standard plates. The Ergal shares compatible cut geometry with the Arsenal Firearms Ergal, and a single plate fits both variants.

A slide-mounted red dot lets you aim with both eyes open and pick up the aiming point faster than iron sights, then hold it through recoil — which is why most competitors move to one. Fit depends on two things matching at once: the American Precision Firearms's slide cut or rail and your red dot's footprint.
